Project YC-14 Flight Controls

A friend passed me a 9gram servo to template my ailerons, rudder and elevator pieces.

I used the servo couplers and some 1/16th aluminum wire.

Ailerons. Like the power pod I opted to put them under the wing rather then on top.

The servos will be located behind the power pods so this should reduce drag.

Up.

Down. Should provide nice bit of flaps for slow passes.

Rudder. With the hole cut out and the hinge taped in. Rudder now works.

I did a lousy job of tapering the corners but this is plane 1.

Last job is the elevator.

Turned out pretty good.

I will glue the tail section in place this weekend. We are getting close.
